Lesson Plans Made For Springtime

It's always nice (around this area of Illinois) when school goes back into session for the fall. But August turns into September and then September to October and before you know it, it is freezing outside! The long Illinois winters tend to slow a lot of people down, even kids. So, what better way to start off the beginning of spring (usually the end of March) then by doing a lesson plan over plants and flowers. You teach your students the vocabulary of plants and all of their important parts that help them stay nourished. You can have a lot of fun and let each student grow their choice of a plant or flower in the classroom. And best of all, the children can have a perfectly educational reason to spend some time out in the fresh air during school. I learned things about flowers I never would have known otherwise in Horticulture, and it was probably the funnest class I took in High School.
